Sales Director: US & Canada

The Sales Director, US & Canada position ideally will be based in our Des Moines, IA office and will report to the VP, Sales & Marketing. The right candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Key areas of responsibility are developing the US & Canada market, enhancing customer relationships and assisting in the development of strategies to increase market share. This position requires a highly motivated individual with proven leadership skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop tactical sales and marketing strategies to drive sales in your region.
  • Successfully deliver revenue target through building lead generation, qualification of prospects, consulting customers, negotiating and closing deals.
  • Management and development of network of sales managers and independent sales representatives.
  • Enhance customer relationships to ensure continued parts sales and future equipment opportunities are maintained by Insta-Pro.
  • Follow leads from website, tradeshows, inbound phone calls and target lists for region.
  • Consult customers regarding processing options, system configurations and size of systems to meet business objectives.
  • Build Sales presentations appropriate for your region utilizing the resources of the full staff.
  • Effective use of Method CRM for tracking customers, opportunities, and management of sales team.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Feed equipment, Feed or Livestock/Poultry nutritional products related sales experience
  • Nutrition and/or Extrusion knowledge a plus
  • Minimum 5 years of successful selling in US & Canada
  • High energy with drive for success
  • Strong ability to build relationships internally and with customers
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willingness to travel 25-35% of the time
